What happened to Bedivere Insurance?
On March 11, 2021, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania found Bedivere Insurance Company, including former subsidiaries Lamorak Insurance Company, Employers' Fire Insurance Company and Potomac Insurance Company (collectively, "Bedivere") insolvent and placed the company in liquidation.
Any Bedivere policies still in force will terminate by court order on April 10, 2021, at the policy's normal expiration date, or upon replacement by the insured, whichever is soonest. Policyholders should contact their agent or other business advisors regarding obtaining replacement coverage.

The Pennsylvania Insurance Department has posted information about Bedivere, in liquidation at www.insurance.pa.gov. You may also contact them at (717) 787-7823 or by email at ra-in-claims@pa.gov.
Policyholders should continue to notify Bedivere of new claims and lawsuits under normal reporting procedures or directly to the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.
The Pennsylvania Insurance Department is arranging for the transfer of claim files to SCPCIGA for handling. Please forgo contacting SCPCIGA for several weeks to allow sufficient time for the file transfer and initial review. SCPCIGA will be unable to discuss the status of pending claims until the files have been transferred. We appreciate your patience.
Workers' Compensation Claims Information
The Liquidator has arranged for workers' compensation claimants to continue to receive income benefits for up to twelve (12) weeks without interruption until SCPCIGA has received the South Carolina claims and can assume handling of payments. Claimants may refill current prescriptions through Bedivere's pharmacy benefit manager, Optum. If a claimant has other pharmacy or medical needs, please contact us at (803) 744-4302.
